THANK YOU!

Thank you

Dear Team McAllister supporter, It has been a great honour to be a candidate for City Council in this election.  I am humbled by the support of over 100 community volunteers and that 3,198 residents of Capital Ward (25.15% of voters) cast their votes for me!  Thank you all for your support and trust. Team McAllister ran an amazing campaign. We had great signs, web and social media presence, fantastic canvassers, fun sign-waves and many special events.  People came together from all political stripes, many community connections, different ages, men and women.  We made new friends, learned about community groups we didn't know before, explored the ward and had lots of fun.  We contributed meaningfully to our community. Platform

LOCAL GOVERNMENT MATTERS.

Municipal policies and programs affect residents each and every day.  I’ve knocked on thousands of doors and met so many residents who want opportunities to be heard on  local issues and to have their perspectives reflected in local decision-making.

MORE ABOUT MY PLATFORM

As councillor, I will:

Christine has been a committed community volunteer for many years, and I have no doubt that her energy and skills will make her a great councilor.
CV
Christine leads with kindness, intelligence and enthusiasm. She has been a mentor and advocate for me personally, and I know that there are many others who can say the same. I have no doubt that she will bring that same care and skill, not to mention her extensive community service experience, to effectively represent Capital Ward on Ottawa City Council.
LM
More students should have the opportunity to live a close distance to school without having to pay unaffordable amounts in rent. Christine has meticulously used her expertise of many years in various areas to propose promising solutions to the Ward’s most pressing issues. Not only is she looking out for the youth, but her platform shows she is truly concerned for all the diverse groups that make up our community and will be dedicated to making the most positive changes to the lives of the constituents in the Alta Vista area.
NA
Christine McAllister is simply the best candidate for Capital Ward. She’s ready to serve the needs of all the neighbourhoods in the Ward. She’s a skilful negotiator, with extensive community leadership experience as well as a strong background in business. Christine works with both sides to resolve conflict, and is ready to put her skills, knowledge and energy to work on our behalf.
Allison Dingle
I am excited to support Christine to be the next councillor of our community [ward]. She deserves your support because she cares deeply about our community and the people who live here. She is smart, committed and collaborative. And she has a strong and unwavering will to do the right thing.
I have seen all these traits and more working with her over the past 5 years. I am inspired by her passion to leave her successful business career to make a difference in local government.

LET’S TALK

My service on the ground in the community has taught me that local government is at its most effective when all community voices are heard. As a candidate, I am excited to hear from people about the issues that matter to them. Let’s chat and share ideas on how we can build the best possible Capital Ward!
